When my parents said they wanted to show me the world, I didn't think I was going happen all in two months!

Ahh it's no so bad, it's always great to meet the extended family and the journey to Kildare wasn't too bad. Today I got to play with Emily and Daniel, I got to use a dummy for the first time, interesting ...... and got to do some exercises on a massive football, all in all a trip worth doing.

Mam always mentions that there are so much of my clothes that has to be cleaned and ironed day in day out. So I've come up with a plan, at the end of each day just put me in the washing on the crinkle free cycle ... hey presto washed clothes, washed baby and no ironing.

Who needs to save for a holiday I say, just spend like mad in the shoppping malls, take in all the junk mail that comes in the door, and sure enough a non transferable, restricted departure date, one way ticket, to an airport just 4.5 hours from the actual location I would like to visit, will come swaning in the door, it's that easy.

Oh look it now appears that the family has just won the oppportunity to win the lotto in Azzerbysomewhere?
Now where is Dad's credit card to secure a share in the winning ticket.

I've been to the beach a couple of times, but with all that sand getting into my new hair, I was looking for a change of location and sure enough Mam came up thrumps with a visit to the local pool. So with swim suit, hat, sun tan lotion (factor four hundred and 42 thousand) in hand, off we went. I must say I really enjoyed the day.

We sang the song for hours yesterday, "We're all off to the zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, zoo tomorrow, we can go all day". We packed up the car and ......................... we never made it to the Bronx zoo, rain, and lots of it.

We put the trip on hold and so as an alternative Mam & Dad decided to bring us to the LI Chilldren's museum. Good choice we had hours, and hours of indoor fun.

Made it to America in one piece, the nice folks on the aeroplane were great at heating up my bottle, and Mam, well Mam had planned for everything.

After arriving and meeting and greeting Uncle Richard, I must admit I'm feeling quite tired, but Uncle Richard has told me its only 5:00pm, but I could swear it feels much later, strange that.

I've been told sharing is caring, so I'm starting to share my food with everyone, Mammy, Daddy, the dog Rosie, the floor, my teddy Tolo.

Now with some more teeth coming Mam has started to give me Weetabix for breakfast, this has given me a great kick start to the day, I've started to get up on all fours, although I still haven't figured out how to move yet, but I am getting quicker at pulling myself up in the washing basket!

I found something new to do today, standing up in my crib. In this way I can view the world in a whole new way!

While on my travels I've also felt a second tooth come up, now I'm wondering how many more are to come? I hope there aren't much more because this really hurts. In an attempt to keep my mind off my gums I figured out how to take the caps off of pens, I love doing this because I can see Dad get so, so, so ............ delighted for me.

The ball pool is great, I was excited when I saw it first, then it became a little hard to figure out, but now, now I love it.

You know what else I enjoy, watching Rosie and Buzz, playing with the ball out the back, they jump, skip, and hop all over each other, I just cannot wait until I can get down there too! For the moment I'll just clap in excitment at their antics, hey my first real clap, brillant now I know what that's for.

It's been coming but today, I got my first tooth, everyone seems so proud of me it's great, teeth must be something special? As it so happens my ear has been killing me for a couple of weeks now, so I know Mam has been watching and sure enough today she confirmed, a itty pitty tooth is showing through, as you can see from the photo my checks are really red after the breakthrough.

And with my first tooth comes my first toothpaste!

Today I finally got some time outside of the house, in my walker, and I've manged the going Forward and Backward, while also taking a drink, which has really surprised Mam and Dad.

I know I mentioned my first words a while back but this talking lark is great! Ma Ma is my favourite.

And remember I mentioned the ball pool for over 5's in leisure zone last week , well this week guess what arrived at our house, a great big Ball Pool, which Mam tells me can double up as a paddling pool in the summer, two for the price of one, brillant! As for advise when playing in the paddling pool I would listen to Dr. Kate.

Bank Holiday leisure zone.
Bit of rainy day today so no park, but then there's the next best thing, the baby zone at leisure zone. I really didn't know what to play with, kids whizzing here there and everywhere, for today I just scoped things out, just get a lay of the land, but next time, I'm going for the ball pool!

I'm not sure what to expect, today was our fist day and the feeding times are slightly off, but I managed to give Dad some leeway. It's happy Easter Bunny day and I've just started to learn that my eyes ARE bigger than my stomach.

In the end I didn't get to eat any chocolate bunny's or easter eggs but instead went for a nice taste 'Sock a la Shoe", my favourite ............. and to be sure no Calories to be seen anywhere.

I've also started to really notice my small fingers, each indivdual one is very, very interesting, Dad has told me that I look at my fingers like the little girl in the video for the Chemical Brothers, you know that song 'Hey Boy, Hey Girl'

I just find them so interesting!

A well balanced St. Paddy's Day

There's always someone popping in and out of my house and recently I picked up the neat trick, to wave "Bye, Bye" when people are heading home, they love it.

Now balance, I'm still wondering if I need it, but Mam insists that it will come in handy at some stage so I'm giving it a go. Mam leaves me free for about 4-5 minutes at a time now, feels like I'm really getting it right.

Today is St. Patricks Day, and I spent it working on the new house, just making sure the rooms have been to the right size.

Update on my house, got the builders to crack on and they've managed to get the walls up to 1st floor ceiling height, this place is really starting to take shape.

Also heard some great news state side, cousin Claire has come into the world, wow, I have some amount of cousins all "The one Age". When I head over in July we are sure to have a great time and I'll make sure to give you a huge welcome!

I really enjoy playing with my toes, especially at nappy changing time, and this week I managed to catch & bite one. Olympics 2020, here I come in the gymnastics section. Athough will it be to India or Dubai?

My faourite spot for watching life go by is in my buggy. And this week I learned that if I pull myself up I can see over the edge and down onto the floor where the woof woof plays. This is my new stoop.

And talking about floors, the floor for my new house went in this week, here's a picture of me inspecting the work.

Uncle Bob, yes that "Bobs your Uncle" saying has been bleeted out a million times already, is my right hand man for this job, he is D'GodFather of constructors.

I managed to pick out a great card this year for Mothers Day, one which really expressed my feelings for Mam.

Just finshed my latest project drinking from a cup, and now I'm start a new challenging project, building a house!
And the first job I wanted finished is my bedroom, but some how they have to build this thing called a foundation first!

6 months into my life story, on this planet earth, a day to remember.

I'm really starting to enjoy meal time, although not all the food is great at Chez PdL. I really enjoy apple, pear, banana, all the fruits, but carrots and broccoli, now that's a different story altogether.

Dad has started to read me bedtime stories this week, helped me to sleep last night, more to the fact that they are a bit strange, I wonder who wrote them?

I have noticed that this has gone hand in hand with my recent permanent move to the cot, for morning nap, afternoon nap and night time sleep. I'm not quite used to it yet, I really like the look of Mam & Dads large bed, but it looks like I'm here to stay.

A couple of new things I'm starting to enjoy this week, banging things together, from left hand to right and right hand to left and drinking juice from my cup, Happy Days.

D'Parents were even happier when they learned this grasping and banging things together is a major development milestone for me. Little do they know, I've been at this for ages.

Got a new walker this week, although as my great-uncle Michael woudl say it's just like an Itailian World War II tank, 6 gears, 5 for reverse.
It's got all the bells and whistles, and music, air conditioning the lot ....

Got to chat withthe public health nurse this week, all is well and I'm a happy 18lbs 13oz in old money. For those who really want to know my weight it's 8.47kg.

But there's a reason I mention pounds. Mam & Dad have been helping me to watch my BMI progress and measuring me against this growth chart, just to make sure I'm going in the right direction. I'm in the xxth percentile ................ ahh as if I'd tell you!

A rolling Kate gathers no moss

Mam has been egging me on with weeks now but I've finally rolled over from my belly to my back for the first time.

As I've mentioned before I love bath time, and now with me being able to splash my hands I never want it to end. Mam also mentions that it keeps me clean but in all fairness who cares about that?

Mam has started me on the words Ma Ma, Ba Ba, Da Da and woof woof (Rosie), I've not quite got the crasp of it yet, but Mam has said I have lots of time to practice and learn. By the way No. 1 in the KatePdL charts is "Ba Ba Black Sheep" it's my favourite nursary rhyme at the moment, followed closely by the "ABC song".

Tried Banana today, and loved it, I want this in all my solid foods!

New craze, pulling ears, pass it on. Mam is great always taking me for nature walks down to the Polerone Quay and around the Polerone boreen, I must say once I'm wrapped up I really enjoy these walks.

Happy Birthday Dad.
Now Mam & Dad have been trying to teach me Kisses. I must admit I learned it ages ago but you know I don't want to spoil them with all my hugs and kisses.
I'm now finding my hands very .................well handy. When I want my milk I can just grab the bottle and when I'm finished, and that is when I'm finished, not when Dad sayes I'm finished, I can push the bottle away!

Finally today's picture is Grannys' favoutite. I never want to miss a thing so I've found a way to pop up my head, however everytime I do it, Granny just goes bursting laughing. We all have fun so I just keep on doing it.

My First Solids

1 teaspoon of Baby Rice, but it all counts, my first solids where taken today, but for the moment I must admit I prefer the milk on draught.
It's taken a while to master but I've learned how to kick off my blankets. You see when I get too hot, I get uncomfortable. I'm tucked into my cot up to my neck but it's like being in a straight jacket. Now with a few flicks of my ankles another few kicks with my legs and I'm out, free, total free it's great, although the look on Mam's face would have you think differently.

A new year and many, many new beginnings.
Firstly it was great to spend a bit of time with all my family and extended family.

I've recently learned how to blow bubbles which keeps me busy for all of ............5 minutes!

Another way of life which I've learned to enjoy most recently is tugging Mam's hair!
Well it's just there, in my face so I say why not give this long inchy stuff a good tug, and you know what it's great fun, I love it.

Faces too, they interest me alot. Long ones, short ones, round ones, hairy ones, hey I'm back to hair again :-)

It's being a great couple of days, but today, today was my first special day in the church. And man was it a long day but I enjoyed it with everyone, from start to finish.

What a really exciting day it was for me today I got a chance to meet my tia Liliana and tia Janet. They've come all the way from Paris, France with Joe, Melaine, Michel, and the slaves, well that's what Abuelo Rafa calls Michel & Rene :-).

What is this day of Christmas????

It started off with Mam & Dad waking me up.
Then we all went straight to the Christmas tree, where we all got a chance to rip paper. I really enjoyed that, and sharing my gifts with Mam & Dad.

Granny Eithne and Abuelo Rafa came this visit around 11:30am.
Some great pictures.

I got my nap in and then it was off down to Nanny Noreen and GrandDad Billy.
Uncle Colm Bolm was there and I got some more paper tearing in, oh what joy.

The big dinner was held at Granny Eithnes & Abuelo Rafas.
Uncle Bob (D'GodFather) and Aoife were there too.

More paper tearing here, will this ever end? I hope not I love it.

Then back home for evening tea and a visit from Nanny Noreen and GrandDad Billy.

What a Day, I saw everyone, and now feel very tired.

What ever it is, this Christmas Day, I think it's great, and I get to see all my family, this was my first and just can't wait for next year!

The one bit a major news today, I'm 4 months old.
I like this Christmas holiday, fresh trees in the house, all the family smilling and happy and Dad's on some time off also, great.

Lots to catch up on. 4 months old today
It's coming up to Christmas and I got my 2nd Vaccine. Everything went fine but Mam & Dad kept a watch on me constantly for 48 hours.

I've really found my voice these last couple of days, and best of all is my singing (screeching).

Also Mam kept asking about these things called Feet. Where's my feet , where's my feet, well today I caught one, I couldn't quite get it in my mouth for some reason?

Weighted in at 15Lbs today, the food is great here at Chez PdL.

Songs, weight, Xmas list and taste

Learned a new song this month the "ABC" song
14lbs 4oz = I've reached 1 stone mark.
Went for my first meal out, to Kambo, Thai resturant, with Mam & Dad, really enjoyed it

I'm back on the bottle, and this time I think they've got it right, nice and warm, but no biccies

Creating a list for Christmas. Mam & Dad asked me to put a list together for what I would like from Santa this year. Symths toy store was my first stop, it gave me some good ideas, next it will be off to world of wonder

Dad took me to the changing room in Tescos what an experience, the changing mat was neat, but the water was a bit hot.

New discovery for me taste. And with this I've put out my new feallers to zips to cloths to bibs to, well everything.

Found a use for my hands today, grabbed hold of my comb, and it really helped my gums, that is it went straight into my mouth :-)

You see when I sneeze it usually comes out "atishue" however since I have such
chubby checks the real word for this sneeze is ChubbyChue.

And for an extra rhyme my Chubbychues usual come in twos :-).

Well what great news today, I've got a new cousin, baby Joe, came into the world and like me all his pictures are up on the web at www.poncedeleon.fr

You know Joe this outside world is not so bad after a few weeks, especially when there's great parents looking after you. La famille Weijsenfeld

By the way had a lovely day with the public health nurse everything is in order and I'm 11lbs 12oz, Mam is delighted with me.

I love bath time, it's the one real chance I get to remove those cloths, hats, booties, and car seat and just have my freedom. And you know I hate being taken out of the bath, that lovely warm water and I have told my parents what's what in that department. But a funny thing happened me today, my eyes started to water once I got upset, yes
really water, might have something to do with the full moon out tonight, anyhow it seems when I have tears my parents start to do things quicker, and quicker, interesting this could be used in the future.
